Erwan, who disappeared without a trace on the night of Saturday February 10 to Sunday February 11 after an outing at the Montoucant-sur-Sèvre nightclub, in Deux-Sèvres, has not been found.
After eight days of research as part of an investigation into a worrying disappearance, “the circumstances of his disappearance have not been clarified despite the significant resources involved,” laments the Niort public prosecutor, Julien Wattebled, in a press release.
As a result, the prosecution opened a judicial investigation on Monday into a worrying disappearance and “the investigations are now led by the Niort investigating judge,” he announced.

We are helpless and we no longer know what to do, where to look…”, wrote the family of the missing man this Tuesday morning on a dedicated Facebook page, “Find Erwan”.
They are still calling on anyone who has information to come forward.
“We continue and we will continue to look for you tirelessly,” they added, addressing the teenager.

The 18-year-old was pushed out of the nightclub, and was last seen leaving the nightclub on foot, alone.
The establishment was searched, in vain, and the citizen search organized to try to find him could bring nothing.
“We are helpless, helpless, we have no clue, we have no element that can allow us to give ourselves an orientation or to favor one avenue rather than another,” confided Sunday the mother-in-law of Erwan, distraught, at the microphone of BFMTV.
She had repeated that the young adult had no reason to run away.
His family also decided to file a complaint for “negligence” against the nightclub, where a security guard had fired Erwan due to his state of intoxication around 1:30 a.m., according to the local press.
“There are perhaps things that could have been done or not been done, when we know the geographical location of the establishment and we put a young person out and he is supposedly drunk.
For us, there was danger,” the teenager’s stepmother explained to BFMTV.
On their Facebook page, relatives also said they were “extremely shocked” by the reopening of the establishment, scheduled for February 24.
