Innovation also comes through new ideas and collaborations, which is why Hyundai Motor Group has announced the ZERO1NE Accelerator program for the first half of 2024, an open innovation platform aimed at facilitating partnerships between startups and group teams on numerous projects.
Thanks to ZERO1NE Accelerator, in fact, valuable startups are identified and how to use the innovative technologies at their disposal are assessed.
Started in 2018, ZER01NE Accelerator has so far seen 150 teams from 11 affiliates of Hyundai Motor Group and 177 startups engaged in 128 collaboration projects, and 96 startups rewarded with investments from the group.
Specifically, for the first 6 months of 2024, there are seven global projects designed by the group's internal teams to which startups can apply by choosing one in particular.
These concern three key sectors such as Software-Defined Vehicles (2 projects);
the Smart Factories (2 projects);
and ESG sustainability (3 projects).
Applications must be submitted via registration on the official website between February 19 and March 10, while the results will be announced in April.
Once chosen, the selected start-ups will have a budget available for the development of their project and can be evaluated for investments.
