Still according to France 3, the police, firefighters and funeral directors are at the scene of the tragedy.
As a result, no more trains run on this axis.
“Your trains will not be able to run before 12 p.m.,” SNCF indicated around 10:30 a.m.
According to the latter, "complications
(the details of which have not been specified, editor's note)
prevent traffic from being restored on the Orléans-Tours axis in both directions".
Traffic was able to resume between Tours and Blois, details France 3.
In January 2024, a 14-year-old girl had already been fatally struck by a train linking Paris to Toulouse.
They wanted to cross the tracks via a designated passage which does not have any barrier at the bottom of a train crossing.
An investigation was then opened “to try to determine the exact circumstances of the tragedy”.
