Volkswagen's ID.7 family is expanding, or rather getting longer.
The German company has in fact unveiled the sport wagon version of the electric model and one of the first fully electric wagons in the upper middle class, where Volkswagen is also present with the new Passat.
What reigns supreme in the new ID.7 Tourer is the aerodynamics which combine the advantages in terms of emissions of electric mobility with a great autonomy (estimated up to 685 km) and a very high load capacity (up to 1,714 liters ).

The design of the electric wagon is characterized by the elongated roofline.
From an aesthetic point of view, this tourer is the result of the fusion between the classic Passat Variant and a particularly dynamic shooting brake.
Thanks to the greater height of the tail, compared to the fast-back sedan, the boot capacity is even more generous and with five people on board, the ID.7 Tourer can accommodate a maximum luggage volume of 605 litres.
Loaded up to the backrests of the front seats and to the entire height of the passenger compartment, this value is estimated to reach 1,714 litres.
In this case, the loading surface also measures almost two metres.
The new Volkswagen will arrive on the European market initially in the ID.7 Tourer Pro and ID.7 Tourer Pro S versions, both with a power of 210 kW (286 HP) and rear-wheel drive.
The energy supply for the electric motor in the ID.7 Tourer Pro comes from a 77 kWh battery.
In the ID.7 Tourer Pro S, however, a new 86 kWh battery is used.
At the DC fast charging stations, the 77 kWh and 86 kWh batteries can be recharged with a maximum power of 175 kW3 and 200 kW3 respectively.
Like the ID.74 fast-back sedan and ID.4 SUV, the ID.7 Tourer is produced at Volkswagen's e-mobility plant in Emden, Germany.
