A 16-year-old high school student from the Paul-Hazard high school in Armentières (North) was arrested and placed in police custody this Tuesday morning, after having made threats against his philosophy teacher, during a discussion with comrades on a social network, Le Parisien learned this Wednesday from a police source, confirming information from Actu 17. This teenager threatened to slit the throat of his teacher, who has since filed a complaint.
A report about these threats was filed on the dedicated Pharos platform.
The police intervened quickly and set up a security system on Tuesday morning around the school.
The arrest took place shortly after 7 a.m. Tuesday.
The teenager, presumed innocent, was unknown to the judicial services.

Last December, a teacher at the Joliot-Curie high school in Nanterre (Hauts-de-Seine) was also threatened with death by a tag, after having mentioned Islamist attacks during a lesson.
Shortly before the Christmas holidays, graffiti was discovered on the high school grounds with the inscription “
you’re more [sic] like Samuel Paty
” preceded by the teacher’s first name.
In Gironde, at the beginning of December, a teacher was threatened with death by an anonymous racist letter, causing the high school to be almost shut down.
All these events recall the attack in Arras (Pas-de-Calais), where Dominique Bernard was killed in his high school by a radicalized former student, in mid-October.
