The original Spring received a score of only 1 out of 5 stars in the European crash test, partly because of the performance of the active safety system.

Now the Spring gets Dacia's updated system, including adaptive emergency braking with pedestrian and cyclist detection, speed warning and more, which may improve the score if tested again.
