They seem to be born with a silver spoon in their mouth, figuratively, and perhaps almost literally.
Four new CRS companies have emerged in recent months, based on the model of CRS 8, their “parent company”, specializing in urban violence.
But barely set up, these four companies are already criticized.
In question, in particular: their pharaonic cost.
Launched in 2021, can be mobilized in a quarter of an hour, the CRS 8 is based in Bièvres (Essonne), in the Raid premises.
A political tool according to its detractors, we have seen it involved in all the recent outbreaks of violence, after the death of Nahel in Nanterre (Hauts-de-Seine), also in the fall in Nice and Marseille, in the wake of settling scores against a backdrop of drug trafficking, or recently in the Drôme.
In these specific cases, it takes at least six to eight hours of transportation to be in the area.
“They are the specialists for arriving after the battle,” castigated a public security police officer in Nice-Matin, when others mocked a “return force”.
