Perpignan airport (Pyrénées-Orientales) was evacuated this Tuesday morning after the X-ray detection of what could be explosives in cabin baggage.

According to France Bleu, the passenger who owned the luggage was due to board a Ryanair flight to Agadir, Morocco.

The owner of the luggage, an Italian, a former soldier, was arrested and placed in police custody.
