Fiat CEO Olivier François presents the future Fiat/Fiat family of models
Fiat is reinventing itself.
After selling about 1.3 million cars in 2023, registering an increase of 12%, it is preparing to launch a completely new model family.
These will be based on the group's modular platform, which also includes Peugeot, Citroen, Opel, Jeep, Chrysler, Alfa Romeo and Maserati, and will be offered in electric, hybrid and gasoline versions.
Use of a shared platform and components should maximize the advantage for the scale of production, reduce costs for Fiat - and for customers.
Panda:
On July 11, you will unveil the first model in the series, which Fiat is already calling "Mega Panda" because it will be larger than the current Panda and should approach, if not exceed, the length of four meters.
The basis will be the platform already used by the Citroen e-C3, with large windows and relatively large space for the dimensions.
Materials such as bamboo fabric and recycled plastic are expected to be used in the passenger cabin.
The charging cable will have an automatic scrolling system, like your vacuum cleaner.
The new recreational vehicle/Fiat
Crossover:
The second most important model is a recreational vehicle called the "Giga Panda" in the company, meaning it is bigger than the Toyota Yaris Cross and Seat Arona, and possibly also the Seat Ateca and its twins.
Fiat promises it will be competitive in price, I wonder how many components it will share with Jeep models, and whether it will get dual drive and off-road capability.

The tipo/fiat successor
Fastback:
The successor to the Tipo whose production is expected to end in 2026, will be a combination between a compact car and a crossover coupe.
The emphasis in the design should be on aerodynamics, in favor of reducing fuel consumption and extending the range of the electric versions.
A new mid-size van could also be successful in Europe, if Fiat brings it there/Fiat
Van:
Fiat already successfully sells in South America two small vans, the Strada and the Toro, which are manufactured in Brazil, but do not reach the US and Europe. This may change in its next van, which will be shorter than 5 meters, that is, smaller than the Toyota Hilux and Isuzu Dimax, and like the Ford Maverick The successful one in the USA is built on the basis of a uniform chassis, like a private car.

Camper:
The van may develop into a true recreational version, one with a living compartment, or we've only gained a spectacular concept vehicle.
Fiat talks about "a connection between man and nature", but there are few manufacturers who produce such vehicles themselves and do not transfer the work to specialized workshops.
