One month after the introduction of Città 30 "Bologna presents its data. In the first month we reduced accidents by 16%, in particular pedestrian accidents decreased by 25%".
The mayor of Bologna, Matteo Lepore, said this upon his arrival at the national meeting with mayors, expert associations and experts, entitled, 'Slower, safer' in the Sala Borsa in Bologna.
For Lepore "the severity of accidents has also decreased by 19% with fewer people injured and, new data in recent days, we have detected a +29% in the use of bicycles to go to work on the streets we are monitoring", concludes Lepore.
