Dacia's future, without altering its advantageous relationship between price and content, is hybrid.

Denis de Vot, CEO of the Renault Group brand, said this during a meeting with the press on the occasion of the opening of the Geneva Motor Show.

"This choice was taken by the market, as demonstrated by the fact that 25% of Jogger sales are hybrid - he said - and we have the opportunity to look at this change, which will take place in Dacia style, thanks to belonging to the Renault Group" And he added that the change will be "automatic" thanks to the possibility of using platforms and propulsion groups already developed and already used by Renault.

In revealing that Spring, which was presented in Geneva in its second generation, will not remain the only 100% electric Dacia ("it will arrive in 2027-2028 with the future successor to Sandero") Le Vot reiterated that the strength in the new product programs of the brand "is not only in recovering Renault technology" but also in the "different approach to development and technical solutions".

And he added: "our job is to arrive late" precisely to reiterate the foundations on which the values of robustness and simplicity of the Dacia are based.

Citing the record time with which the Renault brand conceived, developed and finalized the new R5 E-Tech Electric ("only 3-4 years"), the CEO of Dacia explained that "work in such accelerated times is more expensive" and that therefore the new models and new versions will be brought to the market "with the right speed" and with battery solutions that have less impact on the final price.

"Pursuing the ambition of very fast charging times - underlined Le Vot - has an impact on the characteristics of the batteries and their price. We already use cells in the Spring that are suited to customer needs and this allows us to reduce the weight of the car and to improve energy efficiency".

Referring to this electric strategy, Le Vot confirmed that "Dacia will remain competitive even when Renault launches its R5 with a price below 25 thousand euros" anticipating that "new versions of the Spring could even drop below 20 thousand" thanks to high-quality batteries new type.

The CEO of Dacia, in speaking about the future of his brand which is "essential and cool", also outlined a roadmap of the next launches "with a greater offer of automatic transmissions" and with the decisive stage for the expansion in Europe "linked to debut in the C segment scheduled for 2025 with the Bigster SUV".

And he expressed great satisfaction and great expectations for Sandrider,
