A sinister find.
A human body in the form of a skeleton was discovered in Perpignan, in the Pyrénées-Orientales, announced the prosecution, report our colleagues from France 3.
The body was found near the city's remand center.
It was first the skull that surfaced, before the rest of the skeleton was revealed in a ditch.
“Only one arm bone is missing,” the Perpignan prosecutor’s office told local media.
It would be a man, whose age at the time of death is not yet known.
An investigation was opened by the prosecution, which indicates that DNA may have been collected by the police on a piece of t-shirt.

“The information collected already makes it possible to identify a person.
Numerous samples were taken and sent to laboratories for
identify the body with certainty,” indicates Nicolas Brignol, deputy prosecutor at the Perpignan court, to Actu.
The circumstances of the death, which could date back “several years”, according to Nicolas Brignol, are not yet known.
