, who we all remember as the host of the most talked about television talk show in the world in the 90s, presented a transformation last weekend when she lost almost 15 kilograms of her weight.
She said that she avoided injections and pills to lose weight and managed to do it in a completely natural way, although she feared that menopause (she is already 55) would prevent her from achieving this impressive feat.
In a series of photos she shared on Instagram last Saturday, she said that she feels stronger than ever after changing her lifestyle and losing weight.
"Hey friends. I wanted to share with you what I've been doing for the last 4 months. On October 26, 2023, I made a commitment to myself to be healthier. My husband, Ross (Burningham), joined me in this effort," the star wrote in the post, "Together we each lost 14+ kilos "C".
The first picture she presented is a selfie of her with her husband Ross behind her, taken during one of their daily walks that contributed to weight loss. The second and third pictures are her "before" pictures taken last November, while in the fourth picture she already reveals the complete makeover - wearing a bra Sporting black and matching pants - and showing a toned stomach. In the fifth photo she revealed her considerable weight loss: although in the photo it appears that she started out weighing close to 165lbs (about 75 kg), she stated that her starting weight was around 160lbs (about 77 kg). As of last Saturday, she weighs 140.8 lbs (about 63.8 kg).
She also stated that she is 1.60 meters tall.

In the post she added and emphasized that she and her husband did not use weight loss drugs to achieve this feat: "I really want to share, because we did it without relying on drugs. (Not that there is anything wrong with that), but neither of us is pre-diabetic and we both felt that we wanted at least try to do it ourselves."
Ozampic is one of the well-known drugs used for weight loss.
The drug approved by the FDA is used to treat diabetes and is given by injection under special approval also for weight loss.
It works in the mechanism of suppressing the appetite and increasing the feeling of satiety after meals.
Many celebrities have admitted that they use this injection for weight loss, but this - as she claims - is not the case for Ricky Lake and her husband.
Later in
the post, the star of the films "Hirspray" and "Shoutim", admits that she was worried that she would not be able to lose weight as before because that she is in menopause - a period characterized by biological and hormonal changes, in which the ovaries gradually begin to produce less estrogen.
However, Lake's hard work has paid off: "I'm so proud of us. I feel amazing. I feel strong," she wrote, adding that in a future post she'll reveal more details about how she did it, "but suffice it to say this is the healthiest way I've lost weight in all my years ".
