In 2023, the circular economy organizational unit, one of seven growth business units announced in Stellantis' Dare Forward 2030 strategic plan, saw its global revenue increase by 18% compared to 2022. Across all 4Rs - Reman, Repair, Reuse, Recycle (Regeneration, Repair, Reuse, Recycling) - the complete range of sustainable spare parts has increased significantly and now covers 15.2% of customers' after-sales needs.
In 2024, the Circular Economy business unit aims to confirm the growth trend recorded in 2023. The expansion plans are in line with the objective of reaching over 2 billion euros in revenues by 2030, as foreseen by the plan.
The business is growing worldwide.
In November last year, Stellantis inaugurated the first Sustainera circular economy hub in the Mirafiori district, which deals with the regeneration of engines, gearboxes and high-voltage batteries for electric vehicles, as well as the reconditioning and dismantling of vehicles, creating a center of excellence which aims to industrialise the recovery and sustainable reuse of components and materials.
