Contribute to the mobility of people, but with an increasingly attentive eye to sustainability.
This is the objective of Michelin, which aims to eliminate CO2 production by 2025 and to eliminate that in Michelin factories by 2030. And it is with this in mind that 10 new tires will be presented from March 2024: a new model for cars, three dedicated to world of motorcycles, with a preview of the new Power 6, Power GP2 and Anakee Road at Eicma, and six new ranges for bicycles.
Respect for the environment is one of Michelin's five founding principles, with the first "green" tire being produced in 1992, as Marco Do, Michelin communications manager, underlined during the event presenting the 2024 innovations. "We are clearly faced with the climate change and today it is no longer enough to produce sustainable products, we need to do something more. We need to go a little further, also trigger virtuous behavior on the part of our customers, so Michelin gives a certificate to the management of fleets that have sustainable behavior in tire management" Marco Do, Michelin communications manager.
The Certificate for the Sustainable Management of Tires that Michelin Italia assigns to heavy vehicle fleets is one of the innovations from a company sustainability perspective.
An initiative that aims to involve and inspire strategic partners in the field of mobility, giving visibility to companies that, through careful tire management, contribute to more sustainable mobility with positive impacts on the environment, safety and their own profitability.
