The process of producing a film has begun on the story of the three abductees - Alon Shamriz, Samer Talalka and Yotam Haim - who escaped from Hamas captivity and were tragically killed by IDF forces in Gaza. The film will be directed by Doron Eran and will be produced in collaboration with Hollywood producer Tomer Almagor.

The film will be called " The darkness at the end of the tunnel" and will present the shocking stories of the three, who arrived on the morning of October 7 from different places and within hours found themselves together in a narrow cell in a dark tunnel in Gaza with little food and water, when all they have in the world to survive the inferno is only each other. For over two months, they managed to survive hunger, threats, torture, bombings, passing from tunnel to tunnel, meeting with abductees and other abductions, and despite the nightmare they managed to survive all this together, caring and helping each other until the tragic end.

The mother of the late Yotam Haim, Iris Haim, and the father of the late Alon Shamriz, the late Avi Shamriz, are helping with the research work and writing the script, and it was even agreed between Doron Eran and the families that part of the film's profits will be dedicated to commemorating the victims.

These days, investigative work and interviews are also being done with abductees and abductees who were released and met the three during their days of captivity.

The film will reveal details and stories that have not yet been revealed to the general public.

Doron Eran recently finished producing the film "10 kilos", which was filmed in Guatemala and is expected to be released in cinemas around the world this summer.

The film will be produced by Eran in collaboration with Hollywood producer Tomer Almagor, who produced the films "9 Full Moons", King of Beasts and more.

Doron Eran said: "Since the outbreak of the war, I have been approached several times to make a film that will deal with the events of October 7th. Every attempt to deal with the difficult stories led me to a mental breaking point that prevented me from moving forward with the project. The turning point was when I was exposed to the terrifying wave of denial that is spreading around the world regarding the events of October 7th and the war In light of this, I feel today that it is my personal duty to reveal to the world the difficult stories that we all experience and even help and give a shoulder in the fight for the Israeli narrative in the entire world. When I began to be exposed to the characters of Alon, Samer and Yotem, I identified with them because they took action and tried to get out of hell alone. For me They are portrayed as partisans of the disaster that happened to us."
