This Thursday, three students left their school in the town of Tournefeuille (Haute-Garonne), reports La Dépêche du Midi.
“Two girls and a boy ran away from George Lapierre school during lunch break,” said the city’s communications teams.
Direction: a Toulouse fast-food restaurant.
These three children, aged 8 and in CM1, allegedly voluntarily escaped from their school.
The parents of the students involved were quickly notified.
They joined the research which gained momentum.
Thus, the national gendarmerie deployed a helicopter, which flew over the west of Toulouse for several hours in an attempt to locate the young fugitives.
Spotted using surveillance cameras
Still according to La Dépêche du Midi, a crisis unit has been set up.
It was made up of the national police, firefighters and the mayor of Tournefeuille.
Drones and dogs from a dog team were sent to the scene.
While they had disappeared during the lunch break, they were found around 5:30 p.m., several kilometers from their school.
They managed to reach a fast-food restaurant located in the Arènes district, in Toulouse.
At this time, there is no word on how they found their way to the restaurant.
“They were formally identified by a surveillance camera,” explained the teams from Tournefeuille, a town located on the outskirts of the Pink City.
