There will be a second trial in the case of the attacks in Trèbes and Carcassonne (Aude).
The Paris public prosecutor's office appealed the case of two of the seven accused: Marine Pequignot and Samir Manaa.
The first is the former girlfriend of Radouane Lakdim, the author of the bloody journey which left four dead and two seriously injured on March 23, 2018. On February 23, this young woman, now 24 years old, was sentenced to 3 years in prison for terrorist criminal association (AMT).
This is a sentence much lower than the 11 years in prison requested by the National Anti-Terrorism Prosecutor's Office (PNAT).
During their indictment, the attorneys general castigated his “concealment maneuvers in support of the jihadist action project” of his companion at the time.
But the court was much less severe towards this telephone advisor who appeared free at the hearing and whose people responsible for monitoring had assured that she was deradicalized.
