With the new E-3008 Peugeot has focused everything on innovation, from design to on-board technology, with the aim of giving continuity to the success of its 3008 which in the last seven years has been a real best seller for the home of the lion.

To test all the new features first-hand, we got behind the wheel on the roads of the French Riviera, on a mixed route to verify what was promised by the previews relating to the long-awaited E-3008, which already at first glance reveals its design features fasback SUV specifications, with the big toe, as Peugeot likes to call it, at the service of efficiency, in this case electric.

The silhouette, in fact, was designed to be dynamic and aerodynamic, with a Cd of 0.28.

The dimensions show a length of 4.54 m, width 1.89 m and height: 1.64 m, i.e. measurements that make it one of the most compact 100% electric SUVs in the C segment, while still offering ample space for passengers and luggage .

On the New E-3008, Peugeot has also introduced a new front-end treatment, with the brand's three-clawed light signature firmly in place but radically new headlights and grille.

The ultra-thin headlights are in fact housed in a band that is located above the radiator grille and wraps around the entire front.

The headlights are LED on all versions and the E-3008 GT, which we tested in the dark on the streets of Cannes and surrounding areas, is equipped as standard with Peugeot's new Pixel LED technology, which automatically adapts the light beam of the headlights to traffic conditions, maintaining optimal lighting, even in case of rain and poor visibility as in the case of our test.

If the exterior of the car stands out for its distinctive features, the interior is no different in terms of innovations and advanced technological features.

In addition to the 21-inch panoramic screen of the new Panoramic i-Cockpit, the technological character of the passenger compartment is emphasized by the LED ambient lighting, which can be customized with different colours.

The lighting is reflected on the real aluminum decorations that extend over the entire length of the dashboard and extend onto the door panels.

Aluminum and lights are combined with a mélange fabric, with the aim of creating a 'premium' environment.

At the wheel, once you have become familiar with the traditional Peugeot i-Cockpit setting, the driving experience is devoted to comfort, regardless of the three different driving modes (Normal, Eco and Sport on the GT version we tested).

In traffic, the new E-3008 proved to be agile, thanks to its relatively compact size considering the type of car and a turning radius (10.6 m) that is more than competitive among 100% electric SUVs in its category.

On the semi-autonomous driving front, with the Drive Assist Plus system, the progress made is not negligible and driving comfort, in traffic or on motorway stretches, benefits from it.

Designed from the beginning as a native electric model, the new E-3008 has a range of three zero-emission engines for different use needs, i.e. 2-wheel drive for 157 kW with a range of 525 km, Dual Motor with a range of 525 km, 4-wheel drive and 240 kW, in addition to the version with extended range of 700 km, 2-wheel drive 170 kW.

The price list for E-3008 in the Allure version starts from 41,980 euros,

while for the GT version it costs 49,730 euros.
