The Hérault prefecture prohibits Dieudonné from going on stage, it says in a decree sent to France 3.

The show is called “Under bracelet: an extraordinary show”.

It was to be held “in a secret location”.

This is the fourth time in a few months that it has been banned in the Hérault town.

The authorities point to the “risk of disturbances to public order” as well as “the lack of knowledge of the exact location of the performance”.

The ban also applies to the entire department.

The prefecture recalls that the Montpellier town hall had also banned the performance.

Same situation in Toulouse

In support of this ban, she recalls Dieudonné's legal history.

“Dieudonné M'Bala M'Bala is the subject of numerous criminal convictions, some of which are final for comments of an anti-Semitic nature, which incite racial hatred and which disregard the dignity of the human person.

The town hall, for its part, mentions “insulting remarks, inciting racial hatred, negationists or advocating terrorism, and their regular and repeated characteristics

(which)

reflect a deliberate desire to disseminate a speech affecting the respect due to the dignity of the human person and contribute to the fragmentation of national cohesion.”

In Toulouse, 20 Minutes adds that the situation is similar.

While a show is scheduled for Saturday, the Haute-Garonne prefecture has also issued a ban order.

This recalls that “the previous representations contained numerous outrageous, hateful, conspiratorial, homophobic and anti-Semitic remarks, as well as insults to persons holding public authority or towards public figures”.

She also justifies her decision by the “particularly tense geopolitical context”.
