Bringing sports DNA with a luxury outfit and zero emissions, the first electric BMW X2 makes its entrance on the scene with the name of iX2.
The completely battery-powered version of the second generation of the German company's SUV coupé therefore focuses on the propeller style, this time also available on tap.

At the front, the new double kidney grille and LED headlights stand out, alternatively also available in an adaptive LED version with non-dazzling matrix high beams.
Imposing but easy to handle even on the roads of the small towns on the hills behind Cascais, Portugal, where we drove it, the dimensions of the iX2, like those of its internal combustion engine sister, also increase in width and height, reaching 1,845 and 1,590 respectively millimetres.
The beating heart of the new BMW iX2 xDrive30 is made up of two drive units, one on the front axle and one on the rear, capable of generating a
total power of 230 kW, translating into 313 horsepower including the temporary boost, as well as a torque of 494 Nm that ensure acceleration that crushes your back on the seats.
The autonomy, estimated between 417 and 450 kilometers in the WLTP cycle, is supported by a 64.8 kWh battery pack, to which some technological solutions such as adaptive recovery and the Max Range function lend a hand.
The powerful electric SUV can also be customized with the M Sport package and its aerodynamically optimized exterior details.
For fans of driving with a further sporty boost, there is also (as an option) the M Sport Pro package, which adds, among other things, the M High-gloss Shadowline exterior finishes, the M Shadowline lights, the M rear spoiler and the M Sport braking system with red painted calipers, for maximum aesthetic impact in terms of sportiness.
Sitting in the passenger compartment, both while driving and as passengers, comfort reigns supreme, in line with what has already been seen on the thermal versions of the new BMW X2.
The protagonist is the large curved screen that dominates the dashboard.
The infotainment system is also completely new, now based on the BMW Operating System 9 and with the intelligent voice assistant.
The space on board is more than capacious, as is the trunk which can 'expand' from 525 liters up to 1,400 litres.
In the list, the prices of the new BMW iX2 start from 63,770 euros.
