A 14-year-old teenager was brought before a children's judge for having threatened to kill by telephone a teacher at a college in Seyne-sur-Mer, a Var commune neighboring Toulon, the prosecutor's office said on Friday.
The proceedings concern death threats "against a public service official", said the public prosecutor of Toulon, Samuel Finielz, stressing that the teacher had filed a complaint after threats received by telephone. during the weekend of February 24 and 25.

“The investigation made it possible to identify several people implicated, for death threats against this teacher but also for threats against other people,” detailed Samuel Finielz.
Three teenagers implicated
The suspects are two 14-year-old teenagers, living in the Toulon region, and a third minor, living in Avignon, who had “come into contact with each other using a video game platform”.
Only one of the three minors, living in the Toulon region, is being prosecuted for death threats against the teacher, explained the prosecutor, without specifying whether it was a student or a former student of the establishment where the teacher teaches.
The prosecution requested the placement of this teenager under judicial supervision with a curfew and monitoring by the judicial youth protection services.
