electronic sports (esports)
in Argentina.

with the aim of becoming the
most relevant organization in Latin America
.
The presentation of the new gamer project was attended on Thursday by
Guibert Englebienne
(co-founder of Globant),
Valeria Abadi
(Senior Vice President of Globant),
Federico Lauria
(CEO of Dale Play) and
Frankkaster
(CEO of 9z), who announced The initial plans include a strong international projection and fan loyalty beyond Argentina.
The collaboration between
Globant and 9z Team
arises from the shared vision that Latin American talent is an unstoppable force, ready to lead the way to excellence in the fields of technology and esports, as recognized by its protagonists.

towards new competitive frontiers in the shooting video games Counter Strike: Global Offensive and Valorant
, after venturing into League of Legends.
"
9z and Globant share DNA
. First, because they are very entrepreneurial people, who think that from Argentina we can be number one, and I particularly summarize it as 'people who believe it without believing it,'" Guibert Englebienne told the newspaper
Clarín
.
And he added: They have a world to conquer but they do it with a level of simplicity and work that
shares our philosophy
of how we get to do the things we do and it is something that I see in Frankkaster and the people at Dale Play."

“I founded 9z with the aim of making my personal dream and that of an entire community come true:
to have a Latin American team that represents us
in the most important competitions in the world.
Although we recognize that we have several challenges ahead, I am completely confident that we have the necessary talent to overcome them," he acknowledged.
For his part, Federico Lauría, CEO of Dale Play and partner of 9z, admitted: “Having worked on the professionalization of the team led us to achievements such as being
the first Latin team to qualify for a CS:GO Major
and being among the teams Top 20 in the World according to HLTV.
This step pushes us to continue growing and dreaming in an innovative industry that presents great challenges.”
From Globant Emerald to an auspicious future with 9z
Globant Emerald Team competed in the 2022 Latin American League.
With more than 17 years of experience in the Gaming industry, designing and developing more than 45 AAA games for clients such as EA, Ubisoft and Warner Games, among others, Globant seeks to deepen its presence in the electronic sports scene.
Beyond the passion they have shown for the world of gaming by developing the games
FIFA, Fortnite or Hogwarts Legacy
;
The link between Globant and esports began at the initiative of one of the co-founders,
Martín Migoya
.
While watching a game at the League of Legends World Cup (Worlds), one of his sons asked him why the company didn't have its own esports team.
This is how Globant Emerald Team (GET) was born.
His first steps into the world of competitive competition were taken in 2021, when he won the
Master Flow League
, the domestic tournament for the League of Legends video game.
An achievement they earned after a solid performance in the finals against Savage Esports, where they won the series 3-0.
This success was attributed to the
hierarchy of his team
, made up of internationally renowned players such as Nate, Fix and Plugo.
After this victory, GET prepared to compete in the Southern Regional against teams from Chile and Peru, with the goal of promoting to the Latin American League (LLA), a competition similar to soccer's Copa Libertadores.
Despite high expectations, GET failed to achieve the desired success in the LLA Clausura 2022 and
was relegated in its first international season
.
The last adventure as an organization was in February 2023, when they landed in the
Valorant video game with a quintet made up of women
.
With several experienced players, the team competed in the Valorant Game Changers and even won the spot for the League organized by the developer Riot Games.
"Our experience with GET showed us that this was a space where we wanted to be. At the same time, being super demanding with what we do,
we believe that we should have a very professional management
in the entire sports part and we saw in 9z the ideal partner to do it as a whole," said Guibert Englebienne.
The joining of forces with a consolidated organization in the scene like 9z and a team of top-level players,
assures Globant serious opportunities to obtain a big title
, in this case a Counter Strike Major, as well as the arrival at a much larger young audience to continue positioning itself commercially on an international level.
