The companion of the rebellious MP Ersilia Soudais, Damien Cassé, also an activist for France Insoumise and municipal councilor in Noisiel (Seine-et-Marne), was placed in police custody in Dammarie-les-Lys (Seine-et-Marne ) this Tuesday afternoon after a rape complaint filed by his partner, indicates a source close to the case to Le Parisien.
The elected official from Seine-et-Marne, who would be in conflict with her partner, had filed a complaint against the latter in the 7th arrondissement of Paris, on the night of February 29 to March 1.
The facts denounced by the MP allegedly occurred in Noisiel.
A flagrant investigation was opened by the Meaux public prosecutor's office, and is being carried out by the sub-directorate of the Melun Judicial Police.
Contacted by Le Parisien, the lawyer of the person in custody, Yassine Bouzrou, assures that his client “strongly contests the accusations brought against him”.
