A “settling of scores” left a victim in the suburbs of Grenoble (Isère), during the night from Tuesday to Wednesday.
A 38-year-old man, known for drug dealings, was shot and killed, according to police and judicial sources.
The victim was hit in the head and thorax around 11 p.m. while he was in his car parked on a public road, in the town of Échirolles (Isère).
She could not be revived by emergency services.
The man died before being transferred to hospital.
The Grenoble public prosecutor's office has opened an investigation into assassination, entrusted to the organized and specialized crime division (formerly PJ), indicates prosecutor Éric Vaillant, confirming information from Dauphiné Libéré.
“The victim was known for drug trafficking,” he said.
