While Miri Regev uses the construction of a land bridge between Israel and the Persian Gulf as one of the excuses for her trip to India, private companies continue to implement it in practice.

Traknet is preparing to operate a fuel tanker line from Israeli ports to Arab countries.

This is as a continuation of the line that it already operates to transport goods on the same route in order to bypass the disruptions created by the Houthis in maritime trade, and is mainly used for faster import of goods from the East through the port of Jebel Ali in the Emirates, but also already allows Israeli companies to speed up the export of urgent shipments to destinations in the East .

According to the agreement Traknet signed with a company from the Persian Gulf, a pilot will soon take place that will examine the procedures for carrying out the transports, and the question of using Jordanian or Israeli tankers for transports.

The goal is to reach the transport of 34 thousand tons of fuel and products per month, about 800 tankers.

This is a potential for a significant logistics project.

The cost of transportation per km has increased since the activity began from 1.2 to about 2 dollars per km, partly after the Arab countries raised the transit fees for trucks, which increases the need to import fuels from ports as close as possible to the destination.

The Persian Gulf and the Arabian Peninsula are one of the world's largest suppliers of crude oil, but sometimes there is a shortage in the region of refined oil products, such as diesel fuel or gasoline, which obliges countries in the region to buy from Europe and the Middle East.

Tarkent operates in Europe, the Persian Gulf and Israel.

The company connects to the operating systems of the truck owners and locates trips where they are not fully utilized or are empty.

On the other hand, it presents the transportation options to cargo owners who are looking for available transportation, and conducts a tender on the cost of transportation, according to the minimum prices set by the truck owner.

After the winner is found and the transport is approved, the app plans an optimal route for the driver according to the size of the truck and the loading and unloading points, so as not to put, for example, a long truck into a dense urban area, and a tall truck onto a road where bridges are lower than it.

The company is traded on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange according to a market value of approximately NIS 34 million.

Hanan Friedman, CEO of Traknet, said: "In light of the success of the land line we operate between the Persian Gulf and Israel's ports in recent months, which provides a response to goods seeking a fast and safe alternative to the shipping lanes threatened by the Houthis, I am happy to announce a first pilot agreement of its kind, for The programming for the transfer of large quantities of fuel and its related products from the opposite direction: from the Mediterranean Sea, through Israel's ports and from there to the Arab countries and the Persian Gulf.

This is the completion of the circular route, which will allow the integration of Traknet's system, which specializes in matching loads to empty carriers.

We are proud to continue to lead the express shipping revolution that aims to make Israel a central junction for international trade."
