The police have new tools.
And now all they have to do is search to find child pornography enthusiasts in their area of expertise.
That's the end of the investigations that take them to the other side of France.
This week, it is in La-Queue-lez-Yvelines, La Celle-Saint-Cloud and Conflans-Sainte-Honorine in Yvelines and Herblay in Val-d'Oise that investigators from the C3N antenna (Center for the fight against digital crimes) of the research section (SR) of Versailles housed four pedophiles.
Arrests triggered as part of the World Day Against Sexual Exploitation, March 4.
The SR had proposed to the public prosecutors of Pontoise and Versailles to carry out this action to combat the downloading and distribution of child pornography on the Internet.
What followed was an “observation period” to identify active profiles on the darknet who exchange files.
Placed in police custody, these Internet users all admitted the facts.
Two of them were presented to court to be tried in immediate appearance.

The resident of La Queue-lez-Yvelines was sentenced in immediate appearance by the Versailles criminal court to 12 months in prison and was imprisoned upon leaving the hearing.
Investigators found 400,000 child pornography files, “a sad record,” says a source close to the investigation.

This 40-year-old man, who already had a criminal record in this matter, is also receiving psychological and psychiatric follow-up.
The psychiatric expert who met him concluded that there was a risk of committing the act.
Investigators find deleted documents
This Wednesday, it was the resident of La Celle-Saint-Cloud who appeared before the Versailles criminal court.
This 36-year-old IT consultant will finally be judged at the beginning of April while an additional assessment is carried out.
This thirty-year-old is also a repeat offender.
In 2007, he had already been convicted and imprisoned for acts committed in 2004 and 2005, when he was only around fifteen years old.
Between 2020 and February 2024, he would therefore have imported, consulted, and possessed photos of naked minors.
700 files that he had taken care to eliminate were found.
“We have techniques that allow us to find deleted files,” explains a gendarme.
The Internet user from Herblay and that from Conflans-Sainte-Honorine are waiting for additional digital analyses.
At one of these two men, the gendarmes discovered 21,000 files.
