Saudi driver Reem Al Aboud, the first and youngest Saudi woman to be able to drive a single-seater as early as 2018, recorded a 0 to 100 km/h time faster than current F1 drivers with a Formula E car , highlighting the commitment of the championship in question to innovation and inclusion.
Specifically, Al Aboud covered the sprint from a standing start to 100km/h in just 2.49 seconds, beating the FIA single-seater benchmark of 2.6 seconds, at the wheel of a GENBETA car.
It is a single-seater that was created on the basis of a GEN3 "unlocked" and improved by the championship partners.
In fact, it boasts a power of 400kW and takes advantage of the improvements made by Hankook Tire and SABIC, representing the maximum of current technology in electric racing.
“Being part of this record is a dream come true,” said Reem Al Aboud. “It's not just about speed, it's about breaking barriers and showing the immense potential of women in motorsports. Formula E has given me the chance to make a major statement and I am honored to be part of this journey towards gender equality in racing."
