BMW is recalling more than 250,000 vehicles worldwide - in Germany around 70,000 cars have to go to the workshops.

251,468 vehicles worldwide are affected by the BMW recall, of which
69,387 are in Germany, according to
the Federal Motor Transport Authority (KBA) .
The recall is being carried out under the KBA reference number “013588” and the manufacturer code “0032520300”.
The reason for the recall is a possible fault in the gas generator of the driver's airbag.
If the airbag is triggered, it can deploy uncontrollably, which can release metal fragments that could injure the occupants.
