And this is the description of the new era of Dodge that has opened in the name of the new Charger and the announcement of the global debut of the first and only electric muscle car in the world.
The next-generation Dodge Charger is the one tasked with electrifying a legend.
The Charger will retain its title as the world's fastest and most powerful muscle car, led by the new 100% electric 2024 Dodge Charger Daytona Scat Pack, which delivers 670 horsepower, reaches 0-60 mph in 3.3 seconds and covers a quarter mile in approximately 11.5 seconds.
Electrified models also include the 496-horsepower 2024 Dodge Charger Daytona R/T.
The new Dodge Charger features all-wheel drive as standard for all models and will offer performance choices through multi-energy powertrain options: the 550-horsepower Dodge Charger Sixpack HO powered by the 3.0-liter High Output twin-turbo Hurricane engine and from the 420-horsepower Dodge Charger Sixpack SO powered by the Standard Output 3.0-liter twin-turbo Hurricane engine.
"The electrified 2024 Dodge Charger Daytona Scat Pack offers the performance levels of the Charger Hellcat Redeye and offers the world's first Fratzonic Chambered Exhaust, while Dodge Charger Sixpack models powered by the Hurricane engine will offer the Brotherhood of Muscle a gas option that offers better horsepower and torque numbers than previous 5.7- and 6.4-liter Hemi engines. Production of the 100% electric 2024 Dodge Charger Daytona Scat Pack and 2024 Dodge Charger Daytona R/T two-door coupe versions will begin in mid-2024. Production of the 100% electric four-door Daytona Scat Pack and R/T models will begin in the first quarter of 2025. The new Dodge Charger will be produced at the Windsor, Ontario assembly plant.
The Dodge brand's announcement of the arrival of 100% electric Charger Daytona models and cleaner Hurricane engine-powered Charger SIXPACK offerings aligns with Stellantis' Dare Forward 2030 strategic plan, where electrified powertrains and more efficiency will help Stellantis reduce its global carbon footprint by 50% by 2030 and achieve zero carbon emissions by 2038.
