Twenty-five precious personalized plates, used by Ferrari North Europe (Fne) between 2008 and 2020 to circulate display cars and for press tests, will be sold and auctioned on May 18th for charity.
The aim, we read in the note, is to support the activities of the well-known British organization Ben which provides aid and assistance to the families of workers and pensioners in the automotive sector.
All these registration numbers (in that country the license plates live independently of the cars and the 'shorter' they are the more valuable they are) will be put up for sale by Iconic Auctioneers during the Ferrari car auction which will take place at the SupercarFest at Sywell Park, in 'East Northamptonshire.
Among the plates on sale, the 458 FNE stands out (precisely as Ferrari North Europe) which was used for four cars in the press fleet in GB between 2011 and 2014, including the 458 Speciale which won all the British media awards in 2014.
In the lot there will also be the F1 CAL registration number that Ferrari North Europe used to circulate six cars owned between 2006 and 2016, evidently from the California series.
These include a California Handling Speciale and a California T.
F8 TRB was instead used in 2020 by Ferrari North Europe, as highlighted by the acronym, for an F8 Tributo 'press car', while the V12 SFT license plate appeared on two 812 Superfasts property of Fne which were used in 2018 and 2019.
Equally precious and rich in historical values is the V70 LAF license plate which was used to circulate a rare LaFerrari Aperta produced to celebrate the 70th anniversary of the company and which acted as a trailblazer ' on the celebratory tour that crossed the United Kingdom in 2017.
Finally, the story of the F1 FWE license plate is different as it appeared on a press car registered on behalf of Ferrari West Europe, the division based in Paris.
For the moment, the estimates of these and the other Fne plaques that will be sold for charity on May 18th have not been disclosed.
But if it is true that the registration F40 GTO is on sale for 43,500 pounds, a strong auction result is to be expected.
