To the police officers of the Sesto San Giovanni and Cinisello Balsamo police station who were asking for information, they explained in broken English that they were taking a red Ferrari abroad on behalf of a Belarusian client who had paid 90 thousand euros for it.
They also provided a purchase order from a Naples automotive company (in reality that address was a travel agency).
The two Lithuanians aged 38 and 25 who in Sesto San Giovanni (Milan) were loading a shiny Ferrari F8 Tributo onto a trailer towed by a pickup were stopped for receiving stolen goods.
They were loading the car next to a car dealership which was helpful as it had an identical car in the showroom but which on the market has a value of almost 300 thousand euros.
The police, together with the Carabinieri, are now tracing the origin of the car in the possession of the two Lithuanians.
Some data reported in the documentation held by the two Lithuanians, in fact, correspond to that of the Ferrari which was in the dealership while the registration certificate was stolen blank in Livorno in 2016. To clarify the 'mystery', it will be necessary to collect information from the parent company.
