Dead wild boars hanging from the gate, wool on the hedge and hostile banners... Macronist senator François Patriat filed a complaint after the deposit of manure and animal corpses in front of his home in Burgundy, during the night from Monday to Tuesday , we learned from consistent sources.
The senator denounced “violent, vile and filthy degradation” that occurred at his home in Créancey (Côte d’Or), while he was in Paris for various meetings.
His wife was there but “did not hear anything”, according to the elected official, former socialist president of the Burgundy regional council from 2004 to 2015 and today leader in the Senate of the Macronist RDPI group.
A significant quantity of manure, wool as well as several animal remains hanging from its gate were discovered, he described, with supporting photos.
François Patriat, former Secretary of State and Minister of Agriculture and Fisheries in the Jospin government and early supporter of Emmanuel Macron, indicated that he had filed a complaint on Tuesday morning.
The public prosecutor in Dijon, Olivier Caracotch, confirmed “a deposit of household and agricultural waste in front of the senator's gate and along the road leading to his home”.
“Banners and animal carcasses were exposed,” added the prosecutor, specifying that an investigation had been opened, including charges of willful damage during a meeting and offenses relating to waste management.
She was handed over to the police.
The President of the Senate Gérard Larcher gave his support to the senator.
François Patriat “has always been attentive to agricultural issues (…) This is unacceptable”, wrote Larcher on X.
I give all my support to our colleague senator and President of the @senateursRDPI group in the @Senat, @f_patriat who has always been attentive to agricultural issues, whose house was violently vandalized last night.
This is unacceptable !

François Patriat's home is very close to one of the farmers' blockades set up on the A6 during the angry movement in February.
