The Exploded Smartphone/Official Website, DC Fire and EMS
Exploding smartphones and flaming batteries are nothing new, and again emphasize the need for high awareness and careful use.
Another case happened last week, in which a student at a high school in Washington, DC was slightly injured after a cell phone exploded.
Fortunately, this time the incident ended with only a minor injury.
According to the report, published in local media, the smartphone, apparently a ZTE A72s model, exploded in the bathroom at the school.
Investigators estimate that the blaze was caused by a fault in the phone's lithium-ion battery, but the exact cause is still under investigation.

The fire and rescue barges said that the student was only slightly injured.
Following the incident, the department published tips on the social network X (Twitter) to prevent similar cases, including: using covers that do not trap heat, keeping the phone away from direct sunlight, using approved chargers and avoiding tight pockets, especially while running resource-intensive applications.
We will also mention that many are tempted to buy very cheap chargers or cables from Chinese websites, which are not able to carry or produce well the stable current that a battery needs to be charged - and these become a fire hazard for themselves - and the battery.
And in general, be nice to your batteries.
If you don't expose them to extreme temperatures, you won't expose them to bruises or bumps - they may serve you faithfully.
