A Belgian national on vacation in Fréjus in the Var was arrested and taken into police custody after his wife was found dead, we learned on Tuesday from the Draguignan public prosecutor's office.

“A woman of Belgian nationality was found dead in the apartment rented for vacation, in the presence of her husband who was placed in police custody due to suspicious traces found on the victim’s body,” said specified the prosecution.
