The same can also be said about the electric revolution, which seems to be catching up with the small manufacturer that offers at most mild hybrids and is even encountering marketing difficulties for some of its models in Europe due to air pollution standards.
Now, it looks like this story may take an electric turn.
It starts with the approval of the production of the eVX, an electric crossover in the dimensions of the Vitara this year when it will be marketed as a 2025 model, but no less interesting is another model that will share the basis with it and will be presented about a year later.

The model's code name is YMC and it will be based on the 27PL modular platform jointly developed by Suzuki and Toyota that can accommodate several battery sizes, drive systems and chassis, with 40 or 60 kWh batteries intended for these models, the latter is expected to display a range of up to 500 km "M.
The model may be included in 8 brand new models that the manufacturer should introduce in the coming years both under Suzuki itself and under Suzuki-Maruti - the Indian-Japanese partnership in one of its largest markets.
Three of them are expected to be electric and the rest have gasoline or hybrid engines.

The presentation of the models is part of a program that Suzuki has been required to do for a long time, when as mentioned its supply suffers from large gaps in the area of clean propulsion, and if until recently it could rely on developing markets where air pollution or the demand for electric propulsion was not high on the priorities, when India also makes noises of Aligning or at least trying to align with western air pollution standards is no longer a question of image or marketing - but of being or ceasing.
Not all Suzuki models are marketed in Europe, including the 5-door Jimny that we miss so much.
But in light of the lack of cheap electric passenger cars, and the fact that the eVX will be marketed on the continent and here, from 2025, there is a chance that its 7-seater version will also reach us.
