The hospital said it was “under control” and said it had begun contacting people who may have been exposed.
“There are no other potential exposures at UC Davis Medical Center other than those who have been identified and contacted,” the establishment responded in a statement, cited by CNN.

“UC Davis has a record of every patient and employee in the emergency department that day, and notifications of potential exposure are sent by phone, online messaging, mail, and in person to teams of care of patients who were admitted to the emergency department during this period,” hospital officials said.

The authorities are also calling on people who have been treated in this window to contact the hospital if they are not vaccinated against measles, or to contact a doctor so that the vaccine can be administered to them. against measles, rubella and mumps.

The child in whom the illness was identified first sought medical attention at San Joaquin Urgent Care, located in El Dorado County.
