The list of victims of storm Monica is growing.
The Ardèche public prosecutor's office announced this Thursday that the body discovered two days earlier in a river, after severe weather over the weekend, could be identified.
This is a 73-year-old man, who went to check the installation of the power plant for which he was responsible, Saturday evening in Saint-Martin-de-Valamas, as announced a little earlier in the France Bleu Drôme Ardèche day.
“It is indeed the body of the person in charge of the hydroelectric power station”, who went missing on Saturday evening and was recovered on Wednesday by emergency services in Eyrieux, prosecutor Cécile Deprade confirmed to AFP.
13-year-old child still missing
It was hunters and his relatives who found his body Tuesday evening in a river, but were unable to approach him due to difficult access conditions.
Emergency services were only able to recover the remains of the missing person on Wednesday and an autopsy took place on site.
The violent bad weather over the weekend in the South-East left six other people dead, including a four-year-old girl in Gard.
His 13-year-old brother is still missing this Thursday.
