The first of two days of testing by the Ferrari Client Racing department began at 9.30 this morning at the Mugello racetrack in Scarperia (Florence).
This is the first session of 2024 which includes the debut on the track of the 499P Modificata, the derivative of the prototype which won the 24 Hours of Le Mans in 2023 and on which technological innovations will be constantly installed which will be gradually tested by the owners themselves.
About thirty examples of this jewel were produced at a cost of 5 million and 100 thousand euros each.
A Belgian owner will take it to the track.
Together with this car, 17 cars from the XX program will also run on the Tuscan circuit, laboratory machines that the Prancing Horse uses to develop new features to subsequently transfer to road and racing cars.
Completing the lineup on the track are seven Formula 1 Clients, the single-seaters that participated in past F1 championships and which are now owned by wealthy Ferrari enthusiasts.
The tests take place behind closed doors.
