The front is also embellished with light clusters that extend onto the fenders and the new front spoiler, while the side highlights wheels that can have a diameter of 15 to 17 inches.

The rear, however, features a tailgate finish in the same color as the bodywork which can also be chosen with the new Glass Blue livery, in addition to the other 6 in the list.

The renovation continues in the cabin, which boasts expanded multimedia screens across the range.

Specifically, the digital instrumentation has a maximum size of 12.3 inches, and the touchscreen display of the infotainment system can reach up to 10.5 inches.

There is also an (optional) 10-inch head-up display with color graphics, for large technology despite its small overall dimensions.

Under the more alluring forms of the Mazda 2 Hybrid 2024 we find the valid full hybrid power unit with the 1.5 3-cylinder coupled to an electric motor, a generator, and a power control unit housed in the compact transmission box with gear epicyclical.

The high-performance 177.6 V lithium-ion battery is located under the rear passenger seat and recharges during braking and deceleration, allowing you to travel 80% of the time on electric power.

With a system power of 116 HP, the car is brilliant, even silent, when driving at a constant speed.

Only at full acceleration is there a slight drag from the transmission, but it is decidedly mitigated compared to what happened in the past with these systems.

On the other hand, with fewer internal components the epicyclic mechanism reduces maintenance costs, and combines perfectly with the other elements of the power unit, allowing for decidedly low consumption, which, on average, is 3.8-4l/100 km.

Thanks to the i-Activsense package, the Mazda2 Hybrid supports the driver through a pre-collision system (with day and night detection of pedestrians and daytime detection of cyclists);

assistance with turning at intersections;

intelligent adaptive cruise control;

road sign recognition;

in addition to lane departure warning and lane maintenance assistance.

Available in five trim levels, called, respectively, Prime Line, Center Line, Exclusive Line, Homura and Homura Plus, the full hybrid city from the Hiroshima company has a price list starting from 24,990 euros, excluding incentives and promotions, and includes in the equipment, already from the entry version, automatic climate control, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto with wireless connection, a 9-inch multimedia display, rear camera, and adaptive Cruise Control.

At the top of the range, the Homura Plus trim also sports the head-up display, 10.5-inch infotainment screen, 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster, navigation system and panoramic roof.
