A few days after its global reveal (set for March 21st), which in turn will precede the public presentation on March 27th at the 2024 edition of the New York International Auto Show, Kia has released a series of teaser images of the K4, a new generation compact sedan which is destined to replace - depending on the market - the Forte or the three-volume version of the Ceed.
The South Korean company has not released information on the characteristics of the K4, other than that it will be "an exceptional fusion of advanced technology with fascinating aesthetics, perfectly contained in elegant lines".
However, for almost all specialized media, K4 will continue to offer - despite a design inspired by the EV9 electric SUV - only Ice engines, also electrified with full and plug-in schemes.
This should be the 1.6 turbo petrol rated at 204 HP and the 1.5 mild-hybrid with 160 HP, which should be followed by a 1.6 in both full-hybrid and plug-In hybrid versions.
The sinuous and fluid lines, we read in the note, give an allure of elegant refinement, closely interconnected with a large internal space, characterized by maximum practicality and a distinctly sporty character.
Kia will broadcast the world premiere in New York live on the worldwide.kia.com channel.
It will thus be possible to get to know K4 and the new standards in terms of design, innovation and driving appeal that it introduces into the compact sedan segment.
