A memorandum of understanding was signed by Nissan Motor Co. and Honda Motor Co. for a collaboration related to a feasibility study related to the fields of vehicle electrification and intelligence which includes automotive software platforms, main components related to electric vehicles, and complementary products.
In this way, the brands will take a step change on the path towards carbon neutrality and zero fatal road accidents, combining their best capabilities and also exploring the possibility of future collaboration.
“It is important to prepare for the increasing pace of mobility transformation in the medium to long term,” said Makoto Uchida, president and CEO of Nissan, “and it is significant that we have reached this agreement based on a mutual understanding that Honda and Nissan must address common challenges".
