They were driven by “ideologies of the worst”, between jihadism and neo-Nazism.
Sentences of five and seven years' imprisonment were requested on Friday before the Paris Criminal Court against two young adults, prosecuted for planned violent actions.
Enzo T., and Léana (not her real name), both now 21 years old, met online in the “Fuck le Harcèlement” group before making “deadly promises” together.
They are accused of having, in the spring of 2021 for her, and between June 2020 and September 2021 for him, searched for weapons and carried out explosive tests and scouting.
Among the planned targets, a mosque, a church and a high school.
They are also being prosecuted for having transferred and disseminated propaganda documentation and explosives-making tutorials from the Islamic State group and the ultra-right.
“The gateways of hatred”
In her requisitions, the prosecutor estimated that "what brings them together in this box" are these promises of crimes that jihadist and neo-Nazi ideologies conceal, linked by "the bridges of hatred, conspiracy, homophobia, 'anti-Semitism'.
“The ideology is a little superficial” for Leana, but “very anchored” for Enzo T., added the magistrate.
Against Leana, in pre-trial detention since April 2021, the prosecutor requested seven years of imprisonment with continued detention and requested that the sentence be confused with that of four years in prison, pronounced in February by the children's court on the same file but on acts committed when she was a minor.
Originally from the south of France, the teenager who had dropped out of school and was reclusive in her room, consumed videos of extreme violence before “turning jihadist” in 2021 and training to kill against her mattress.
In the box, the young woman with long curly hair, described by experts as affectless and immature, appeared rather silent, wringing her hands in front of her mouth.
Several perpetrators of mass killings revered
Concerning Enzo T., a young high school graduate from Seine-Maritime, the prosecutor requested five years of imprisonment with continued detention.
The teenager, marked by the divorce of his parents and the bullying at school which he said he experienced as triggers, had pledged allegiance to the small neo-Nazi group Atomwaffen Division and adhered to the theory of the great replacement.

He also revered several perpetrators of mass killings attributed to the far right, including Brenton Tarrant (New Zealand, Christchurch, 2019, 51 deaths) or Dylan Klebold (United States, Columbine, 1999, 13 deaths).
The prosecutor was “not convinced” by the path of his “deradicalization” in prison, where he rubbed shoulders with other ultra-right activists, including Aurélien Chapeau, a former soldier sentenced in 2022 for having prepared an attack.
The decision should be made Friday evening.
