A 40-year-old man died this Saturday during an attack at the entrance to a supermarket in Onet-le-Château, not far from Rodez, in Aveyron, report France 3 Occitanie and Center Presse Aveyron.
The attack occurred around 7 p.m., at the entrance to a Super U store in a commercial area of the town.
A woman and a man, as a couple, were then targeted by an individual equipped with a bladed weapon.
The couple's 14-year-old son was also there.
When help arrived, the 40-year-old father was in cardiovascular arrest.
They tried for an hour to resuscitate the victim, who ultimately died.

His wife, also injured during the attack, was hospitalized, as was their teenage son.

The alleged attacker was arrested not far from the scene of the incident.
According to France 3 Occitanie, customers who witnessed the scene say that an argument broke out between the couple and the man arrested.
