Three people were killed Saturday following gunfire near Philadelphia, in the eastern United States, and the suspect, on the run, was located at his home, local media and police said.
On its Facebook page, Middletown Township police confirmed “shots fired in Falls Township,” a residential area in the greater suburbs of Philadelphia, which left “several victims.”
Early in the afternoon, municipal police in Langhorne, northeast of Philadelphia, announced on social media that the suspect had been “located at his home in Trenton,” in the neighboring state of New Jersey.
The suspect told police he had “hostages,” Foxnews reported.
Local police rapid response forces were on the scene and Falls Township authorities lifted their stay-at-home orders, Langhorne municipal police added.
In stolen cars
According to local media, citing police sources, the suspect, a 26-year-old man, who was traveling in a stolen vehicle, killed two people near a residence in the municipality of Levittown located in Falls Township, north of Philadelphia.
He then killed a third person in a residence.
The individual fled after committing car jacking to steal another vehicle, which the police gave the description.
