The Mercedes group has announced that it has successfully carried out Arctic tests with "muletto" cars built using the new Amg.Ea platform which will be used by the AMG sports brand to build its future high-performance models.
The tests were carried out in Sweden, in areas close to the Polar Circle, with operating temperatures around minus twenty-five degrees.
In releasing some images, taken on a frozen lake in the Scandinavian country, the Manufacturer clarified that the prototypes used were set up, in fact, on the new AMG Electric Architecture platform which in the coming months will be subjected to an intense development program on various continents, with climatic conditions as different and extreme as possible.
"Our future vehicle architecture - they clarify from Affalterbach - will be pioneering and will pave the way for a series of new innovations. The concept behind Amg.Ea offers an unprecedented mix of energy and power density, dimensions and weight. Its The electric 'power unit', in fact, operates in combination with a new high-performance, high-voltage battery."
