The drop in German humanitarian aid to the Gaza Strip/Reuters
A segment from comedian Chen Mizrahi's stand-up show upsets pro-Palestinians on social media.
In the segment, Chen Mizrahi mocks the residents of the Gaza Strip who were killed as a result of humanitarian aid falling from the air.
Pro-Palestinians wrote on Twitter: "A successful Israeli comedian laughs at Gazans who lost their lives when humanitarian aid was dropped on them - and the audience goes crazy with laughter."
In the segment in question, Chen Mizrahi is seen telling the audience: "I have only one question. One question, help me, I'm begging you: explain to me how stupid people have to be to see a parachute with a box falling from the sky and say 'move, move, move, I'm alone, Move, give it to me, give it to me! May my name be increased and sanctified. I have no strength!"
The audience, as expected, laughed at the segment and applauded Mizrahi.
The reactions on the pro-Palestinian page on Twitter were not long in coming: "The problem is not with the mediocre comedian but with the audience that laughs. It's like a deadly virus that has infected an entire nation", "What a disgusting audience. It represents the country".
"Israeli society has lost its way", "disgusting", "their hearts are sick", "how can humans laugh at the death of starving people?".
Chen Mizrahi also responded in a story he uploaded to Instagram: "The short, from here on out I'm making an international career because of this segment. All the Pro-Palestinians want my head."
