A few black marks on the ground, discreet marks of a scorching evening on Sunday March 17 in front of the La Courneuve police station (Seine-Saint-Denis).
The building, located in the city center, was targeted by several dozen angry young people after the death, Wednesday evening, of a resident of the town: Wanys, 18, fatally hit by a police car during of a chase.
This Monday morning, the Paris police chief Laurent Nuñez came to meet the police officers at the police station, targeted by firework mortars, to salute their “courage” and their “great responsiveness”.
The events only lasted around fifteen minutes, around 10:50 p.m.
“Very quickly, reinforcements arrived to disperse the attackers and calm returned,” said the police prefect.
