Go to prison without going through square one: a Frenchman, who arrived in Norway about a month ago, received a sentence of 21 days in prison after no less than 25 speeding violations in 19 days.
Having come to the Scandinavian country in search of a job a little over a month ago according to the local press, the 23-year-old young man was stopped for excessive speed 25 times from February 6 to 25.
The worst offense was committed while driving a Kia on February 20 at 113 km/h in a zone limited to 70 km/h, according to the judgment, a copy of which AFP obtained on Monday.
“Danger in traffic”
The motorist “represents a danger in traffic”, ruled the Oslo court.
According to the newspaper Aftenposten, most of the offenses were detected by fixed automatic radars of which the offender was unaware.

This rushed man received a three-day reduction in his sentence, from 24 to 21 days in prison, because of his full confession.
But he will also have to do without his driving license for a year.
