The impressive collision was filmed by witnesses on site, completely shocked by the accident.
Footage shows the ship approaching the quay before hitting the crane, while workers run from the scene.
The videos quickly circulated on social networks.
The ship that caused the collision, the YM Witness, which is 368 m long, was chartered by a Taiwanese company Yang Ming Marine Transport Corporation.
The cause of the accident is not yet known.
Local authorities have opened an investigation.
